The past 24 hours have been fairly productive! I completed a few studies.

I finished a small painting of a Bee yesterday. I want to make a large painting with a swarm of bees, but having never painted a Bee before I decided I better do a few trial runs. I’ve had mixed reactions on the used. Tell me what you think of the crazy teals and pinks!

Then I did a couple other small paintings. The one on the left is the beginning of a color study I am doing in preparation for my next commissioned painting. The Trevinos are commissioning a 48”x30” painting for their Home on Austin Lake. They are looking for an abstract impressionist painting of a sunset that pulls colors from their newly remodeled House.
